Acting for Professional Non-Actors: 4-week Session Have you ever wanted to take an acting class but felt too intimidated? This course is specifically for students who don’t necessarily want a career in acting but have always wanted to give it a try—and reap the professional benefits of building an actor’s skill set. Some of the most valued qualities a professional can embody—in any field—are also those most valued in the acting world: authenticity, EQ, confidence, poise, and the ability to be present and, when appropriate, vulnerable. This will be approached like a traditional acting class but with an eye toward transferable skills such as public speaking, communication, and connection with people from all walks of life. Students will work with material both on and off-camera for theatre, film, and even commercials, with frequent check-ins on how this work can assist their long-term career goals in a variety of fields.
NEXT DATES TBD Limited to 12 students. Actors need not apply.
