Caitlin has known she's wanted to be an actor since before she even knew what acting was. Born and raised in South Brooklyn, her main outlet was school--and not in the drama department; she'd recite her favorite movies on the bus while en route to field trips.
Her first real acting opportunities came in college, where she had the privilege of playing both coveted female and male roles. At Wellesley, she performed in over twenty productions and worked behind the scenes in several others, directing full-scale productions of Tape and Breath, Boom.
In grad school, she came back to her first love, film, doing more critical work that focused on the place of women in film history and the impact of recent technology on spectatorship. Since then, Caitlin has appeared in many independent films in NYC and Boston, and also works as a freelance film critic.
In 2009, she co-founded The Wellesley Project, a production company set on giving more diverse opportunities to female actors. An avid writer, she wrote and directed an original piece for TWP's first showcase, and she is currently working on several film and stage scripts, among them a comedy co-written with Jamey Nicholas, to be erected later this year.
